Cranky Baby

Yesterday, Kate and I met up with my Bunco group at my friend Stacy's home. Bunco has taken a hiatus due to busy schedules and people having babies. We didn't actually even play Bunco this time. We just visited, met the new babies and picked dates and locations to continue our meet-ups. I was so excited to show Kate off to the ladies and had her in the cutest outfit. I couldn't wait for her to show them how good tempered she was and how bright-eyed and adorable she is.

She didn't cooperate. At all. Shortly after we arrived she started crying. This turned into wailing. It was quickly followed by shrieking (not sure if it was me or her - oh wait, I was whimpering). No one could calm her down. It was horrible. When you have a baby that doesn't ever do this it is very disconcerting. Kate did this last week when we were at Disneyland. I had her in their special baby feeding/changing suite and she just wouldn't let-up. I am sure everyone thought I was a horrible mother. I was sweating and totally frightened that she was sick or in some terrible pain since this was so uncommon for her.

Since I had just gone through this at DL I was less stressed but let's just say she didn't make the impression I was going for. Of course the other two babies were just absolute dolls the entire time. I finally swaddled her and she went to sleep and slept the entire rest of the evening. I think she was overly tired. She had been up, eaten and then Brett came home, I gave her a bath and then she played with Dad until we left for Bunco. I am sure she was over-stimulated and just couldn't get to sleep. Poor baby.

Below are some pictures before we left. Look at the one of her crying, insert it at Stacy's house and multiply the scrunched face, clenched fists and howling by 10. That was our night!
