No one likes shots or shoes that don't fit

Kate had her two-month doctor visit yesterday and had to get 5 shots! She currently weighs 11 lbs 10 oz and is 23 1/4" in length. The doc said she was in the 75th percentile for weight and a little higher for length. Based on her current length and mine and Brett's heights he estimates she will be 5'8 which is wonderful!
I felt so bad when she got her shots. She was in such a good mood, looking around and cooing. Then bam! Her face turned red and she started wailing. Poor little baby. However, she recovered quickly and was asleep before we left the office. Here is a pic of her poor chubby legs with the band-aids. There were three on one and two on the other which already fell off.
On another note - some advice to new moms. If you have super adorable, super expensive shoes for your baby make sure you frequently check them to see if they fit. I have these gorgeous shoes and they were just so huge when Kate was first born. I couldn't imagine that they would fit any time soon. I decided to see how close she was to wearing them the other day and to my horror her mammoth feet won't even fit in them. And trust me, I tried every possible way to shove her foot in them to no avail. The shoes are longer than her feet but those fat little puppies just can't squeeze into the opening. So disappointing! So, make sure you pull the cute shoes (and clothes, too) out earlier than you would guess for a quick size check or you could be stuck with nursery decorations rather than stylish attire.
